In a grand celebration of diversity and unity, 400 individuals from 65 different countries will become Canada’s newest citizens at a special ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil. Hosted by the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, the event promises to be one of the largest citizenship ceremonies in recent years and the biggest ceremony in Canada so far this year.
Taking place on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET in Toronto, the ceremony will be presided over by Citizenship Judge Rodney Simmons. Adding to the excitement, Cirque du Soleil ECHO performers will join the new citizens in singing the national anthem, creating a memorable and festive atmosphere.
