Minister Miller to attend citizenship ceremony in Toronto

In a spectacular and heartwarming event, the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, will lead a special citizenship ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil. This milestone event will see 400 of Canada’s newest citizens hailing from 65 different countries, making it one of the largest ceremonies in recent memory and the grandest across the country this year.
Taking place in Toronto on Friday, July 19, 2024, the ceremony will be presided over by Citizenship Judge Rodney Simmons. Adding to the enchantment of the occasion, Cirque du Soleil ECHO performers will stand side by side with the new citizens as they proudly sing the national anthem, symbolizing unity and diversity in Canada.
