Minister Miller to attend citizenship ceremony in Toronto

In a spectacular display of unity and diversity, Canada is set to host its largest citizenship ceremony in recent memory to honor the 40th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil. The event, organized by the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, will see 400 individuals from 65 different countries officially becoming Canadian citizens.
This monumental ceremony, slated to be the biggest in Canada this year, will take place in Toronto on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET. Citizenship Judge Rodney Simmons will oversee the proceedings as Cirque du Soleil ECHO performers lend their talents to the celebration by joining the new citizens in singing the national anthem.
