Minister Miller to attend citizenship ceremony in Toronto

In a vibrant and heartwarming event set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil, the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will be hosting one of the largest citizenship ceremonies in recent years. 400 new citizens hailing from 65 different countries will be welcomed with open arms to Canada in this special ceremony, making it the largest of its kind across the country this year.
The ceremony, set in Toronto, will be graced by the presence of Citizenship Judge Rodney Simmons, who will oversee the proceedings as the new citizens officially become part of the Canadian family. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Cirque du Soleil ECHO performers will join in the singing of the national anthem, symbolizing unity and diversity in this joyous occasion.
This momentous event is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. ET, offering a unique opportunity for the new citizens to embrace their new home and for Canadians to welcome them with open arms.
