In a dazzling display of unity and diversity, The Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, is set to welcome 400 of Canada’s newest citizens from 65 different countries at a special citizenship ceremony honoring the 40th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil.
This grand event promises to be one of the largest citizenship ceremonies in recent memory and the biggest across Canada so far this year. The ceremony, to be officiated by Citizenship Judge Rodney Simmons, will feature a special performance by Cirque du Soleil ECHO artists who will join the new citizens in singing the national anthem.
Held in Toronto on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET, this celebration of cultural diversity and unity will shine a spotlight on the importance of embracing newcomers from around the globe.
